Fur Farmers Building
Components of the Fur Farmers building date back to 1912, when it was a warehouse for the Canadian Western Natural Gas Company. The building has since been converted for many different purposes over the years, including as a secret military facility, a casket company, a farmers co-operative, and more recently as art studios, shops, and residences. Currently under private ownership, the building’s exterior has been proudly maintained to reflect the 1940s-70s farmers co-operative days.
